Kayaking options abound. With abundant ocean and river options, 17 public boat launches, and hundreds of miles of coastline, choices range from an easy hour paddle to overnight excursions.
Bring your own kayak or rent from a local outfitter. Local outfitters include Up the Creek Kayak and Canoe Rentals, Wiscasset Trading Post and Seaspray Kayaking. Take advantage of their many touring offerings including moonlight or sunset paddles, trips to Eagle Island, multi-day expeditions, inn to inn tours, corporate team building programs and more! Test your skills in a local race, or kayak fishing tournament.
For those interested in becoming an instructor, 3 day ACA Instructor Development workshops or Certification workshops are offered in the region.
